WEATHER CONDITIONS

Roofing works are heavily dependent on weather conditions. We reserve the right to postpone works where weather conditions are unsafe or unsuitable. We shall not be held liable for delays caused by adverse weather conditions.
Temporary weatherproofing may be installed where reasonably possible during periods of poor weather.

EXISTING ROOF CONDITION & HIDDEN DEFECTS

All quotations are based on visible inspection only unless otherwise stated. Hidden defects may only become visible once roofing materials are removed. Additional works may be required where underlying defects are discovered, including but not limited to:

  • Rotten timbers
  • Structural movement
  • Water damage
  • Failed membranes
  • Inadequate historic repairs
  • Non-compliant existing installations

Any additional works identified will be discussed and quoted separately before proceeding.

ROOF LEAKS & WATER INGRESS

Tracing roof leaks can be complex due to water tracking through roofing materials and structures. Whilst every effort will be made to identify and resolve leaks, we cannot guarantee immediate identification of all sources of water ingress during initial investigations. Further investigations or additional work may be required.

LEADWORK & SPECIALIST MATERIALS

Leadwork quotations are based on standard code lead and agreed detailing unless otherwise stated. Price fluctuations in lead, timber, roofing materials, and specialist products may affect final pricing where delays occur between quotation and commencement of works.
Specialist or discontinued roofing materials may have extended lead times and additional costs.

Unless specified or selected, quotations do not include:

  • Removal or reinstatement of solar panels
  • Satellite systems
  • Aerials
  • Air conditioning systems
  • Electrical systems
  • Pipework or plumbing services

Any specialist removals or reinstatements required may incur additional costs.

WARRANTY & LIMITATIONS

We provide a 12-month labour warranty on workmanship carried out by us unless otherwise stated. Manufacturer warranties apply to products and materials supplied and installed, and vary depending on the manufacturer and product.
This does not cover faults arising from:

  • Existing structural defects
  • Movement of the building
  • Storm damage
  • Blocked gutters or drainage systems
  • Third-party interference
  • Lack of maintenance
  • Extreme weather events
  • Pre-existing hidden defects

We shall not be held liable for delays caused by factors beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Manufacturer or supplier delays
  • Third-party contractors

  • Structural discoveries during the works

Installation dates may be adjusted accordingly.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

We will take reasonable steps to protect the immediate work area during our work.
The client is responsible for ensuring personal belongings within or near the work area are removed or adequately protected prior to commencement. The client is also responsible for ensuring suitable access and permissions are available for works.
